5月31日下午，魔法坏女巫音乐剧组在英国大使官邸为观众举办了一场别开生面的演出。魔法坏女巫是一部在伦敦西区和百脑汇都长盛不衰的音乐剧，这次也是该剧团首次来到中国。

英国音乐剧有很长的历史；早在 1663年皇家剧院便已开在了伦敦德鲁里巷。到今天，伦敦西区已成为英国最知名的文艺景点之一，同时也是世界上最大的剧院区。一年中的每一天，伦敦西区都在上演音乐剧与各色演出。

在伦敦西区，来访者可以欣赏来自世界各地优秀的音乐剧。魔法坏女巫最初在2003年诞生于百脑汇，到今天已在伦敦连续上演11年。在西区历史上上演最久的剧目排行榜上排名第17，与之相比，广受好评的音乐剧哈密尔顿则在2017年10月才会在伦敦演出，这也将是这部音乐剧的首次国际演出。

英国最受欢迎的音乐剧包括：歌剧魅影；狮子王；妈妈咪呀；魔法坏女巫，这些都已成为在世界范围内享有盛名的音乐剧。

更值得一提的是，在文化创意产业繁荣发展的英国，新的和有创造性的演出层出不穷。举例来说，有哈利波特与被诅咒的孩子和美国人在巴黎。美国人在巴黎是一部由好莱坞电影改编的音乐剧，由知名英国编舞Christopher Wheeldon搬上戏剧舞台。

这次是魔法坏女巫剧团首次来到中国，这个在伦敦西区和百脑汇久负盛名的音乐剧先后来到了上海和北京，在结束北京6月11日的演出后，他们会于6月18日去广州进行演出。这部宏大的制作受到了媒体和观众的一致好评。

作为巡演的一部分，英国驻华使馆和魔法坏女巫中国巡演主办方聚橙音乐剧还有约翰·戈尔机构合作，邀请来自伦敦西区的演员为300名粉丝举办一场特别的演出与见面会。粉丝有幸在欣赏音乐剧片段的同时参与问答环节，了解更多魔法坏女巫台前幕后的故事。参与这次魔法坏女巫官邸见面会的有主演：杰奎琳·休斯，卡莉·安德森，布莱德利·贾登。

英国文化教育协会中国区艺术文化总监马昌在活动开始致辞说：“我非常开心今天可以在官邸看到来自伦敦西区魔法坏女巫团队的表演，也为中英两国日益增加的文化交流而感到欣喜，我相信未来会有更多诸如此类的活动。”

WICKED UK / INTERNATIONAL TOUR

Wicked played a multi record-breaking, fifteen-city tour of the UK andIreland from September 2013 - July 2015. The spectacular, award-winning andcritically acclaimed production resumed touring in July 2016 (playing arecord-breaking sold out engagement at the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford (whereit was acclaimed by the Telegraph & Argus as “a funny, moving, exciting,thought-provoking and hugely entertaining journey through both the prequel andsequel to the Oz story”). Theproduction continues touring until January 2018, including the premiereengagement in China.
